Performing On The Stage – How It Helps Our Children

  1. Dancing in a different space (the stage) helps children adapt to the world around them.
  2. Telling a story via a dance in the recital helps emphasize the importance non-verbal communication
  3. Being a part of the dance studio’s community in a recital helps a child see the “bigger picture” and motivates and inspires them
  4. Learning choreography and remembering it on stage enhances cognitive development

  2. Dancing can help children express more complex emotions and interact with others
  3. Continual participation in dance recitals encourages the drive to try again when things don’t happen how they wanted
  4. It can be REALLY fun to perform on the big stage in front of their family and friends!
