This year I am celebrating 25 years as a dance educator and 22 years as a studio owner, and I have never been more excited to watch our students discover the joy of dance.
Dance has been a part of me for as long as I can remember. My mom was also a studio owner, so I was born into this wonderful world of dance. Some of my most cherished memories are centered around my dance experiences and span back to a time when I was 5 or 6 years old sitting in my mom’s office pretending I was the teacher, to all of my yearly recitals and performances, the first class I ever taught on my own, the day I opened my own studio, to today where my dance journey has 
taken me to Chandler and CID and I get to share this journey with all of our students here, including my youngest son. I am thankful for my mom for helping me discover the joy of dance and for all of my other teachers along that way that kept the joy real and alive. I’m blessed to have lifelong friends I first met in the studio and grateful for the lessons I learned in class that I have carried with me throughout my life and have contributed to the person I am today.
As the director of CID, my main purpose is to continue to help children of all ages discover the joy of dance. I am so grateful to all of our students and their families for choosing CID as their dance home and giving us the opportunity to continue spreading this joy. Our staff is dedicated to this mission and have shared with me so many times in the last few weeks how much excitement and positivity they are feeling in their classes.
Now that I am a bit more settled in as the director, I am excited to offer our first Discover Dance Days here in AZ. Discover Dance Days gives
you, as our customers, the opportunity to share dance and CID with your family and friends with a free week of classes. Our staff is so excited to welcome new students into our classes and help them discover how much fun the journey of dance can be.
I thank you in advance for sharing CID and dance with your family and friends. We hope you are as excited as we are for next week. Invitations have been emailed out and are available on our website or at the front desk. All dancers who bring friends with them will receive an entry (one for each friend) into our drawing for the amazing Gift Card Tree – they are going to go crazy when they see all of the gift cards they can win! We also have special gifts for all friends who join us next week too.
Dance has so many discoveries along the way – joy being just one of them. I am excited to watch your students continue to learn and discover these lessons throughout this season and all of the seasons yet to come.
