It’s time to start preparing for our annual June Dance Recital. The recital will be held June 7, 2018 at Higley Center for the Performing Arts.
Teachers have selected their songs and costumes! Ms. Shannon will be measuring all of the dancers for their costumes during the weeks of November 6th and 13th during their regular classes.
The recital fee of $50 per dancer is due on November 15th. This fee will be debited to your account on file on the 15th. If you would like to pay by cash or check, please do so by November 14 at 8:00 p.m.
Costumes will be ordered in December to ensure their timely arrival. We know that it is not convenient to pay for dance recital costumes around the holidays, so in hopes to make it easier on our families, this year, 50% of the costume total will be due on December 10th and the remaining 50% will be due on February 10th. The price for recital costumes are listed on the back of your registration form and with our school policies. Please click here to download the Recital Handout.
If your dancer will be unable to participate in the recital, please stop by the front desk to complete an opt-out form by November 14th.
Adult Classes
We have had quite the demand for Adult Classes. We hear you and are excited to announce that starting in January 2018, we will be holding an Adult Tap/Ballet, and Adult Hip-Hop!
Each class will run for a 12-week session (Jan. 8th-April 6th), each class meeting once per week for one hour. The cost for the 12-week session is $120. If you are interested in registering for one or both classes, you can do so online, using the link below or stop by the desk and our lovely desk staff will assist you in getting registered. We must have a minimum of 6 registered for each class.

Teddy Bear Week!
The week of November 13-18 is Teddy Bear Week at CID! All students are welcome to bring their favorite teddy bear or stuffed animal to dance with them this week!
High School Dance Team Prep
Are you and your friends wanting to try out for Poms or dance team at your school next year? Jump start your journey to becoming a member of your high school dance team! We’ll teach pom motions, basic hip-hop and leap turn and jump technique commonly used amongst dance teams in our area. With several former high school dance team alums on our staff, we are a top training center for Pom and Dance teams in the East Valley and we can’t wait to coach you to be the best dance team member you can be! Starting in January, we will be holding 2, 6-week Dance Team Prep Workshops for 8th, 9th and 10th graders. An email will be coming out soon with dates and times.
With A Twist!
Reading is FUN and so is wiggling around!!
Just for you and your little one and totally FREE – our first Story Time with a Twist takes place on Tuesday, November 14th from 9:15-9:45 a.m.
This fun-filled activity combines storybooks with music, dance, rhymes, instruments, finger plays, and more!

Ballet Auditions & More!
Auditions for the lead roles in our June Ballet Production will be held on Saturday, Dec. 9th starting at 3:30pm. We will also be holding auditions this same day for dancers interested in performing their solo, duo or trio in the recital. If you are interested in auditioning, please sign up at the front desk starting on November 27th.
